“War is a racket”. War Is a Racket is the title of two works, a speech and a booklet, by retired United States Marine Corps Major General and two time Medal of Honor recipient Smedley D. Butler. This phrase sums up our foreign intervention in a brilliant way.
War is only profit for a small percentage of the population. At least 21,000 new millionaires and billionaires were made in the United States during the World War.
How many of these war millionaires shouldered a rifle? How many of them dug a trench? How many of them knew what it meant to go hungry in a rat-infested dug-out? How many of them spent sleepless, frightened nights, ducking shells and shrapnel and machine gun bullets? How many of them parried a bayonet thrust of an enemy? How many of them were wounded or killed in battle? None of them! How many had to force innocent people from their homes? How many of them had to shoot innocent people? How many of them have to kill without question? How many of them have to follow orders or else be scared of a court marshal? How many of them have to watch innocent towns be bombed into none existence? How many of them had to throw innocent families onto the street? None of them know what it is like to actually sustain these proxy wars that we engage in.
“War will exist until that distant day when the conscientious objector enjoys the same reputation and prestige that the warrior does today.”
Ever since the fall of the Soviets we have been engaged in proxy wars over seas in which we destabilize the countries in the name of “democracy”. But what are we actually spreading? Through the EU and the NED and the IMF we have bankrupted countries such as Italy, Spain, Greece, etc. The IMF is the largest predatory lender there is and it preys on countries. The U.S. and NATO forces stop at nothing to establish bases all throughout the world to retain the American Empire overseas and dominate the geopolitics of nations. The ruthless stripping of nation’s wealth through western backed central banks is a disease that is plaguing the world. The ruthless conquest of resources and never ending expansion of our military industrial complex is leaving the well pretty much dry at this point.
At some point we have to step back and ask ourselves if this is really what we want. The American Empire will overstretch itself and collapse just like the Roman Empire did. I see an atmosphere of preparation and for what, is what worries me. There is preparation for social unrest and that will not be peaceful, there will be death and violence in America the likes of which we haven’t seen since the Civil War. The Dep. of Homeland security (which is more known) has placed orders for hollow-points and armored vehicles. The Dep. of Agriculture just placed orders for bullet proof vests and sub-machine guns (and this). American police forces look like military units being deployed in the streets.
The U.S. is slapping sanctions on Russia. Germany stands to lose millions from the trade they undergo with Russia. Russia also supplies the largest amount of natural gas in the world and the second largest exporter of oil in the world and they are being screwed over hard core with their gas lines. The regime in Kiev has been cutting off water lines to the Crimea and other places claiming them to be Ukrainian (even though the Crimean referendum voted unanimously to succeed). Then we have Obama claiming that the vote is “illegitimate” and still accuse Russia of “invading Crimea” when they actually helped the vote go forward. Without them, the regime in Kiev would have done the same thing they did in Slavyansk and the inhabitants of Krasnoarmeysk, in Donetsk Oblast. The U.S. backed junta sent militants to prevent the people from freely voting. This was all done under the pretext of “anti-terrorism operations”. Anyway, those sanctions are making Russia seriously consider dropping the dollar as the note they buy and sell in, ushering in the fall of the petrodollar. China has already discussed a “de-Americanized” world in recent months and, along with the IMF and others, has called for a removal of the dollar as the world reserve currency. When and if that happens, we are going to see some massive upset. If Russia goes through with this (and they have already held government meetings about the subject and are planning out possible routes of action) then that would be the end of the petrodollar.
The government will use the social unrest for its agenda and the chaos that ensues will be planned. The government is not afraid to flat out fabricate lies with the boldest face to the American public at this point because now, thanks to the Patriot Act and other unlawful bills, the American public can be imprisoned at the stroke of a pen and or executed. Internet privacy is becoming increasingly at threat. Descent is being struck down and whistleblowers are prosecuted at record levels when they disclose truthful information about government corruption. The time for action has never been more necessary and the time for apathy to fade has never been more needed. America needs to stand up and stop this ship before it sinks entirely and we all regret not caring.
